Chloe Moss (Mosbacher) | Virtual Gallery
Chloe Moss (Mosbacher) is a multimedia artist based In New York’s Hudson Valley and NYC. She is an MFA candidate at New York University and received her BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD in 2022. She has had solo exhibitions at MICA, WAAM in Woodstock, NY and BAU Gallery in Beacon, NY. She has participated in various group shows at galleries such as 80WSE, East Manning Projects, Botanica Grove and more. When she is not working in the studio you can find her getting lost in the Shawangunk and Catskill Mountains with her trusty canine companion, Phoebe.
Moss’ work is highly painting driven however, often branches out into photography and sculpture. It is through these disciplines that she explores the fluctuating nature of her mental and emotional life. Archetypal figures both human and non-human, draped in patterns of interweaving light serve as the conduit to expressing the aliveness present in and shared by all living beings. She is particularly interested in the enrapturing feelings that are stimulated by moments of solitude. These significant instances expose the mutability of the boundaries we often perceive between internal and external worlds.
